Si ese es el caso, entonces \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 las facturas de electricidad de este verano fueron tan altas en la ciudad de Nueva York y Long Island? En el territorio de PSEG y ConEd, las facturas de electricidad de este a\u00f1o subieron a $400, $500 o incluso $900 para muchos propietarios. No es de extra\u00f1ar que los neoyorquinos exijan una explicaci\u00f3n por los agujeros en sus bolsillos. EmPower Solar decidi\u00f3 investigar la causa del aumento de las facturas y esto es lo que encontramos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agosto de 2018: cada d\u00eda fue en promedio 4 grados m\u00e1s c\u00e1lido que en 2017.<\/li>\n<li>Agosto de 2017 solo tuvo 5 d\u00edas por encima de 85*. <strong>\u00a1En agosto de 2018 hubo 12, cuatro de ellos mayores de 90 a\u00f1os!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Julio de 2017 tuvo 70% de d\u00edas por encima de 80 F. \u00a1Este a\u00f1o, el n\u00famero salt\u00f3 a 90%!<\/li>\n<li>Agosto de 2017 tuvo 68% de d\u00edas por encima de 80 F, mientras que agosto de 2018 tuvo 74% de temperaturas por encima de 80 F.<\/li>\n<li>Agosto de 2017 no tuvo registro de ning\u00fan d\u00eda por encima de los 90 F, mientras que 16% de agosto de 2018 estuvo por encima de los 90 F.<\/li>\n<li>Hubo un aumento promedio de 4 grados y 4% en las temperaturas entre agosto de 2017 y agosto de 2018. Puede que esto no parezca mucho, pero si mantiene su aire acondicionado a 72 constantes, \u00a1entonces 82 a 86 es una gran diferencia!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Con temperaturas tan altas, se necesita mucha m\u00e1s energ\u00eda para que el aire acondicionado alcance la temperatura que desee. Como sabemos, la transferencia de calor siempre se produce del calor al fr\u00edo. Incluso si la diferencia es tan baja como 1 F, se activa la transferencia de calor. Cuanto m\u00e1s calor hace afuera, m\u00e1s energ\u00eda se necesita para evitar que ese calor entre y eleve la temperatura de tu hogar. \u00a1Cuanta m\u00e1s energ\u00eda uses, m\u00e1s gira el medidor!<\/p>\n<p>Cientos de propietarios de viviendas de Long Island acudieron a Facebook y otros foros en l\u00ednea para cuestionar sus facturas y citar un aumento de 2 o 3 veces en las facturas de electricidad este a\u00f1o. Incluso aquellos con paneles solares vieron un aumento porque la energ\u00eda que usaron este a\u00f1o super\u00f3 la cantidad que esperaban usar.
