Switch to reusables<\/b><\/h4>\n

You may already be doing this, but switching to reusable containers, like water bottles and coffee cups, is one of the easiest ways to reduce your plastic consumption. Not only is it more eco-friendly, but it can be more cost effective as well! Some stores, like Starbucks, offer a discount when you bring in your own coffee mug.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Line dry clothing<\/b><\/h4>\n

Hanging up your freshly washed clothes to dry outside may seem like a lost art, but it has a lot of benefits. Not only can line-drying <\/span>reduce the wear and tear<\/span><\/a> your clothes go through, meaning they will last longer and prevent more textiles ending up in landfills, but it can also reduce your household’s carbon footprint because you won\u2019t be running your dryer as often. This in turn will save you money on your electric bill, allowing you to save more money each month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Compost food scraps<\/b><\/h4>\n

When food decomposes it releases methane, a dangerous greenhouse gas.
