Long Beach for The Weekend

Despite a stormy start to this week, we’re looking forward to spending a sunny weekend in our home turf! We’ll be celebrating at the Island Park Chamber of Commerce Calypso BBQ on Saturday and speaking with homeowners at the Long Beach Super Block Street Fair on Saturday and Sunday.

We love that our offices in Island Park bring us right to the center of the action. Various members of our team walk the boardwalk in the morning, lunch at the Shoregasboard, and surf after work. We all really appreciate being in the best summer location on Long Island.

As much as we love our community, we hear they love us back. Already, over 134 homes in Long Beach, Lido Beach, Point Lookout, Oceanside, and Island Park have taken charge of their energy supply and switched to solar. These families have saved over $599,606 in electric bills, putting money back into their budgets for college, home improvements, and investments.

We’re proud to have installed solar on community landmarks such as the Long Beach Public Library, Long Beach Catholic Regional High School, St. Ignatius Martyr Roman Catholic Church, and at the Town of Hempstead’s Clean Energy Park in Point Lookout. The Park is one-of-a-kind on Long Island, and demonstrates a number of renewable energy technologies. EmPower’s team even helped design a hydrogen car refueling station, now used by the Town’s fleet.

We look forward to seeing many of you out and about this weekend and working with you in the future to help make our community more resilient and sustainable!
